Hello, I'm Germain

I lead design teams by building trust, cultivating safety, and coaching proper behaviors that deliver top-notch performance.

My UX Principles

Know The Customer

Creating products without sufficient understanding of users mental models, needs, and pain points is guessing. STOP IT!

Team Alignment

Product design deliverables like wireframes help align the product team while seeking commitment. Otherwise, let the loudest voice win.

Waterfall-ish/Agile-ish Product Development

In practice, Agile causes UX heartburn. Product discovery is omitted, and many start the delivery phase before knowing who, what, or why of the product. Discovery is a waterfall-ish part and seeks to define the targets. Agile should be thought of as the delivery stage.

Pair Design

Alan Cooper said it best, "A team working together, sharing tasks in research and sensemaking equally, and emphasizing role-based skills for wireframe and detailed design." works best for product teams.

Openness

Being open to feedback, ideas, criticism, or different perspectives is what leads to new ideas.
